Have you ever felt like you have lost your motivation to do something that you’ve always loved to do?
If so, you are not alone.
For the past few months, I have been struggling with writing these emails.
More often than not, when I would sit down to write, my mind would be as blank as the page in front of me.
At first I thought it was just a case of writer’s block and I tried to push through it. That worked for a while and then it didn’t.
Instead of feeling motivated and inspired to write, I was filled with self-doubt and frustration. I knew I was writing because I had to not because I wanted to and that was not a good feeling.
I needed to make a choice. I could continue to pour from an empty cup or I could take a break.
I have decided to take a break.
Sometimes, in the nonstop pace of life, we may be forced to take a break. If we are lucky enough to be paying attention, this natural pause can be a gentle reminder that we don’t have to do it all.
It’s okay to put ourselves first and choose actions that bring us joy and contentment as well as rejuvenate our mind and our body.
Simply being aware that we have these choices can be such a wonderful gift….a gift that should not be wasted.
So, as much as I have loved writing and sharing information with you, I’m going to gift myself and take the summer off.
By letting go of the struggle to write my emails, I know I will be creating more space to do the things that bring me joy. And if all goes well, I will come back to your inbox with my cup runneth over!

If I say ‘yes’ to others, am I saying ‘no’ to myself?
You are the one who gets to decide whether it’s in your best interest to keep trying or if it’s time to let it go and take a break.
And remember, allowing yourself to take a break does not mean you have failed. It simply means you are choosing to have more time, energy, peace, joy and creativity in your life and that is always a good thing!
So listen to your inner compass, make the most out of every precious moment and always make choices that fill you up.
Well, my friend, those are my words of wisdom for today but before I sign off for some fun in the sun, I just had to share this brownie recipe with you.
When I first saw this recipe in an email from WellandGood, I’ll admit I was skeptical. There are only 3 ingredients in this recipe: bananas, nut butter and cocoa powder. That’s it…no flour, eggs or butter.
I had to give it a try and without a doubt, these brownies are the easiest and tastiest brownies I’ve ever made. They are fudgy and moist and oh so good.
Although the recipe calls for overripe bananas, the first time I made the recipe, my bananas were not quite ripe and the brownies tasted just like a fudgy brownie.
The next time I made the recipe, my bananas were overripe and the brownies had a very distinct banana taste to them.
So, depending on how much you like the taste of bananas will determine if you use underripe or overripe bananas.
